For sale are early production LSiM-707's in midnight mahogany and in pristine condition. I bought these in June from Richidoo - a Carolina audiophile some of you may know - who had bought them used shortly before that. A month later I finally found and bought some SRS 1.2's, a speaker I wanted very much to own but had never seen available. Since doing some work on the 1.2's, I've had both speakers in a variety of setups in the family room. It's a big, reflective, acoustically ugly room and large scale treatments are never going to happen. The 1.2's seem to be a more natural fit for room, gear, and ears; but every time I listen to the 707's, I think, "Wow, I've got to find a way to keep these". So I've just been enjoying them while trying to convince myself I could somehow keep both pairs.
Well, after moving my mom into our home last year (dementia) it's become obvious that I'm gonna have to expand the garage apartment she's in. And this has brought me back to the reality that I'm gonna have to sell the 707's.
I've never pushed them hard at all. I use them most often for jazz, classical, vocals, and low volume listening - things these guys do exceptionally well. When I do get the funk urge, they more than satisfy - low and tight. They are also the most realistic sounding HT speakers I've ever heard, although this wasn't a primary factor to me. I enjoy them most with a bit of tube-induced warmth and Parasound amplifier. Although most folks seem to prefer big power with these, I think they also sound sweet smooth and balanced with the Pass Aleph 30. For me the only con is that they're finicky on placement, but with some patience, not too hard to figure out. The soundstage is not as mind-blowingly wide as with SDA's, but accuracy & detail are uncanny. House is smoke-free. I have a standard and a toy poodle in the house. They don't shed hair and dander is minimal (I never see it but I would think it must exist). Dust covers are always in place and house is cleaned weekly.
Included are spikes and rubber feet for hardwood (installed) and boxes (roughed up a bit from being stored in my shop).
My firm price is the same as I paid for them six months ago: $1,800 via Paypal. I'm willing to drive to meet a Polkie halfway - up to 4 or 5 hours - from Wilmington, NC. Sure hope someone here will want to give these guys a try for (what I think is) a very reasonable cost.

It's got to be shipped with the boxes strapped to a pallet, otherwise they will be torn. That's my experience with this set; I had to refuse the first shipment because the boxes looked horrible.Gears shared to both living room & bedroom:

You'd have to take them outside to really capture the true color. At $1800 it wouldn't matter to me because you could always buy replacement cabinets for a couple hundred dollars and still be at a crazy cheap price.

Think I'll take Leroy's suggestion and move them outside tomorrow to take good pics of all sides. It will also help me since I haven't closely examined all sides since setting them up. There may be something I haven't noticed that I need to disclose.

Falconcry, I should point out something that a PF member told me about that you might want to investigate if you're not already aware of it. There's an eBay seller, that recently listed new 707's, among others, at a discount price and free shipping. I'm not sure it's cool for me to post here, so I won't. But you can search it for yourself. Not sure if this is an authorized dealer - they are not listed here - so I don't think so. No idea if they are reputable. Just thought I'd mention it.

I was on my own today, so I just walked them over by the door and did the best I could. I officially suck at taking speaker pics. I did find four blemishes - 1 on each speaker top, 1 on side near top, and a ~1/4" scratch in the side of the plastic base. One of the top blems and the side one are noticeable although they look worse in the pics than to my eye (I never noticed them when puttering around with the gear). Hope this was helpful even though my pics suck.

Sacrilege! A Lamborghini Diablo would make a nice taxi, but he wants to be on the track, baby! lol. The 703's are so capable on their own, it seems wasteful to use them as heights... on the other hand, if you want to have heights in an all LSiM system, the 703's would be the right choice!
Anyway, it's irrelevant for me, because as much as I would LOVE to keep my 703's, I'm making this purchase expecting to recoup some of the cost by selling them. It will be hard to let them go, but I'll just crank the 707's if I get too sentimental.
