    If it wasn't an Apex I'd really be horny! It is very cool, though. Don't expect to see a Sony player like that anytime soon.

    Scott,

    It is feature packed - no doubt.
    What you want to look for in a DVD-Audio player
    is the digital to analog section.
    If you want the 96/192 Khz response... you need
    to have D/A's that can get the job done accurately.
    Without these, all you are gonna do is get mediocre
    5.1 sound from a DVD-A disk (not ultra-high resolution).

    My Denon DVD-A utilizes Burr-Brown chips. These aren't
    particularly cheap. They are very good... but, not as good
    as other D/A's.

    Also, you want to look for a DVD-A with bass management.
    Remember, the DVD-A will only pass analog signals to your
    reciever/what-ever.
