I picked up 4, should have grabbed 4 more.

Here are two in a ripole sub.

The rise in distortion from 60-100hz are cabinet resonances, pressing on the panels changed the response. This was just a test box, next one won't buzz. Placed a few feet(3-4) from the rear wall and with a little EQ, they should work well.

Ignore the saw dust on the floor.

    Because it's a ripole. ;)http://www.lautsprechershop.de/index_hifi_en.htm?http://www.lautsprechershop.de/hifi/ripol_en.htm

It doesn't excite room nodes the same as a sealed or ported sub. Since bass radiates out the front and back of the unit, when the waves reach the side of the unit, they cancel each other out...so you're not energizing the entire room. They are a little SPL limited though, which is why I'll need a pair(4 drivers total).

This is a prettier version of what I built: http://jazzman-esl-page.blogspot.com/2011/01/ripole-subs-are-underway.html

That is really neat! I've never seen anything like that before. I'm a big fan of small footprints.

What the overall size of that enclosure?
