Adcom GTP-880 home theater preamp, $360 shipped

Hi guys, have an Adcom GTP-880 I'm looking to sell. $360 shipped. Excellent condition, aside from a few scuffs on top of the faceplate from where stuff apparently has been moved around on top of it. I'd rate it a 7/10 on the Audiokarma scale because of the scuffs. Includes the original GRC-810 learning remote.

Decodes Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Pro Logic II, DTS, DTS ES (Discrete and Matrix), DTS Neo:6, and also includes Adcom's proprietary 7.1m2 upmixing of 5.1 sources. 24-Bit / 192 kHz DSP processing and digital to analog conversion. Has defeatable tone controls as well as both analog and digital bass management options.

If you're looking for a way to get into home theater with separates, this might be the way to go. I auditioned this in my home along with my current Outlaw 990 and decided to keep the 990, but the Adcom is no slouch. Doesn't do HDMI, but does have 5.1 analog inputs as well as a DB-25 SACD input. So if you've got a Blu-Ray/DVD with excellent on-board audio decoding and don't need or want an AVR/preamp to do it for you, this paired with some decent amps would be a good choice.

    Finally got this hooked up last night. It was after midnight so I wasn't able to test it out, but I really like the looks and features of the unit.

    If Syndil is selling, buy with confidence. The pre- is in great shape, the packaging was superb, and the communication throughout the transaction was top notch. Thanks!!
